TOM BUSHNELL

Tom Bushnell is a British contemporary artist celebrated for his vibrant abstract paintings and bold use of colour. A graduate of The Central and Ravensbourne Colleges of Art and Design, he holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art & Design and has exhibited alongside some of the UK’s most distinguished artists, including Sir Peter Blake and John Hoyland.

His work has been featured at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and is held in private and corporate collections across the UK, Europe, the United States, and beyond.

Recognised as a prodigious talent from an early age, Bushnell won the annual school Art Prize from the age of eight. By fifteen, he was receiving portrait commissions from notable figures including his Headmaster, the Local Mayor, and the Chief Education Officer. At sixteen, he was interviewed by both the Royal College of Art and The Slade School of Fine Art, two of the most prestigious art schools in the world, though ultimately too young to attend.

At just twenty years old, he achieved national recognition when his large-scale abstract painting was selected for the acclaimed Young Contemporaries exhibition in London, making him the sole representative from his college that year.

Today, Bushnell continues to push the boundaries of abstraction, creating dynamic works that evoke emotion, energy and optimism.
